Time to Switch to Organic Coffee
There is an advertisement that L'Oreal has launched that kind of wraps up the essence of the reason why you should switch to organic coffee. It says, '…because I'm worth it!' - Just a simple sentence that says it all. Of course you are worth the best - but how many times do you consider that when you buy something for yourself. Instead there would be other consideration on the top of your mind - such as cost, convenience, availability, etc.
Why Organic Coffee Is the Best for You
Are you aware about the issues about the deteriorating natural habitat all over the world? Would you not want to be part of the fight to stop and reverse the process - but you have no time or you do not know how to do it? Well, switching to organic food is one great way to show you care for the environment. When you buy organic coffee you are directly promoting healthier and sustainable environment conditions as growing this type of coffee promotes growing of trees and conservation of soil as well.
Besides the immense satisfaction that you get from doing your bit for Planet Earth, you get rewarded with a heavenly aroma that you would never get with the non organic coffee. You would also benefit from the total lack of chemicals in the coffee beans as the USA law requires the coffee crop to be grown for three consecutive years organically before it passed (and accepted) as organic coffee.
If It So Good, Why Is the Non Organic Coffee Still Around?
Mahatma Gandhi had once said, '...There is always enough on this Earth for human needs but never sufficient for human greed…' The organic versus non organic coffee is proof of this statement. There are many countries which have switched to organic coffee crops; those that did not are motivated by the greed for the high profits the latter bring in. The coffee crops that are grown in direct sun-light with the help of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides are larger and bring greater returns, though the taste suffers, the soil suffers and the environment at large suffers.
As with all chemicals, the non-organically harvested coffee too poses serious health hazards which are ignored by the millions of consumers out there because it is easier on the budget. Some buy the non-organic products because they are really not aware of the possible dangers that these could pose, nor do they know the difference between the taste of the organically grown coffee and the non-organic one.
You should know better. Next time you buy coffee say to yourself, 'I am worth it' and reach out for the best packet of coffee - the organic kind.
