Understanding Panic Attack Cycle Means Not Letting Things Remain As They Are
A typical panic attack cycle is one that is most often characterized by a lot of anxiety that actually only ends up feeding the next episode of a panic attack which in turn makes it very difficult to break out of such a cycle. The problem intensifies and soon a person affected by panic attack will lose control of them because the body will have begun to feed signals of a negative nature into the mind that in turn starts to misinterpret the signals to be a symptom of something worse than is the reality and which may be believed to be very sinister and thus leads to higher levels of anxiety and consequently, a spiraling level of panic attacks.
Begins Just After The First Panic Attack
In effect, a panic attack cycle starts immediately after the first panic attack and it will also increase the mind's and evens the body's sensitivity levels that in turn results in continually feeling fearful of when the next attack is going to occur. With so much sensitivity, there is bound to be more anxiety and fear in the mind of the affected person and thus he or she will soon lose control of their senses, especially if a second or repeat attack begins soon after the first panic attack.
In fact, persons engulfed in the panic attack cycle will misinterpret their anxiety as being a symptom of a fresh panic attack which causes the body to begin making preparations to meet with impending danger by first of all releasing adrenaline that along with other hormones becomes a cocktail that increases the heart rate and makes the person ready for something that actually is not going to take place.
Once engulfed in the panic attack cycle, the person's mind is taken over and it starts interpreting higher heart rates as a sign of danger and sends more blood to where the mind believes it is needed the most and this is accompanied by negative thoughts as well as body sensations that get amplified so much that the person loses control and thus experiences a full panic attack.
The worst part about the panic attack cycle is that it is extremely difficult to break out of such a situation, and in fact, you may not be alone in suffering from such a condition, because there are millions of others who are also so affected who need to do something effective in order to at least control if not totally eliminate such a cycle.
What you and the other millions just like should not do when affected by the panic attack cycle is to let things remain as they are and bear it as best as you can, avoid the feelings or even suppress the feelings that trigger a panic attack, because there are ways to break the panic attack cycle which include being able to think and decide on a way of reacting to the panic attack, changing your habits and avoiding things like substance abuse, because by reacting to the panic attack in a more positive manner, and also by improving your habits, you will stand a better chance of becoming free of the shackles of panic attack cycle.
