Is Sharp HD TV Still Sharp?

Sharp has always been known for their top of the line consumer electronic products. It seems though that every product release they do, they never seem to fail their own name. In the recent years, there has been a buying surge of a new home entertainment marvel - the HDTV. Crisp, crystal clear digital video rendering is the promise of this new home theatre system. But does Sharp able to live up to its name now that competition is tight in the HDTV market? Take a look at Sharp's take on the HD TV craze.

Size really does matter in this world. And when it comes to high definition television, Sharp HD TV is not lagging behind. On top of its popular line of high definition television sets is the Sharp LC-52D64U. This 52-inch monster LCD technology-based HD TV is a no ordinary flat TV. CNET's review rating on this product is 7.5 despite the bad raves it receives from experts and experienced users. But the good reviews for this Sharp HD TV still dominate. The LC-52D64U has excellent rendition of pure black levels making it easy for dark scenes to be displayed on the screen. You also won't be running out of HDMI connectivity since it has got three HDMI slots.

And when it comes to the style of this baby, classy and contemporary are the best words to describe the framing of this LCD TV. Classy because of the thin framing design of the panel and contemporary because of its slim depth. The downside of the LC-52D64U is, well, the price. For a 52-inch Sharp HD TV, you can't really expect price tags to go less than $2,300.

However, if you are looking for the same high definition quality of a 52-inch Sharp HD TV at half the price of its big brother, then you can go for the younger 32-inch sibling - the Sharp LC-32D43U. The price range goes around $949 to $999. Same high definition quality you get, good black level rendering, perfect color temperature plus off the angle viewing, these make a perfect alternative to the LC-52D64U. The downside though still resembles, still an expensive HD TV compared to similarly-sized competing brands.

Nevertheless, the LC-32D4 didn't fail the ratings with 7.3. Although both models fell short in price tag attraction, Sharp HD TV indeed never failed to live up to its name. The superb picture quality and efficient black rendering is what makes Sharp HD TV stand out.
