LA has the most independent HDTV channels with 30 and seven PBS affiliated TV stations. From the East Coast to the Windy City, Chicago has twenty eight HDTV stations making it the third largest HDTV market in the US. There is one HDTV Channel for CBS, FOX and ABC, while NBC has two affiliates here. 10 HDTV stations are operating indecently in Chicago and six PBS channels.

esting to know though that even with a total number of 42 HDTV channels, it only ranked fourth. Anyway, NBC has three HDTV Channels here. San Francisco, Oak and San Jose cap off the top five with 44 channels. The city with the least HDTV channel is Zanesville with only one station.
