Free Coin Magic Tricks

You can find free coin magic tricks just about anywhere you look. Coin magic tricks are amongst the easiest to be found, and also to learn. They do require some dexterity of hand movements, but with a little practice you should be able to master that with relative ease.

Some of the easier coin magic tricks will require that you do little else other than distract your audience so that you can quickly and easily get rid of the coin. This however, can become very unsatisfactory and boring after a time. Ideally, you would need something a little more daring, which is more “magicky” so to speak.

In this case as well, there are a number of these such free coin magic tricks which you can use, and most you will find are easy to do while still having an element of difficulty in it.

One such coin trick, involves a glass, a string, and a small piece of wax or other unnoticeable sticky substance. You will also need to be wearing clothing with buttons down the front, and be at a fair distance from your audience. The coin, you should obtain from your audience.

Tie one end of the string to a button on your shirt or waistcoat; to the other end, attach the small piece of wax and affix gently to another button. This should not be visible to anyone looking at you.

Next, ask your audience for a small coin. It shouldn’t be a heavy coin as otherwise the trick might not work properly. When you are given the coin by the audience member, you will need to discreetly stick the small gob of wax onto one side of the coin.

Drop the coin into the glass, holding the glass quite close to you, then make the coin “walk” up the glass, and into your hand. As you might have guessed, the string with the wax attached to it is what makes the coin walk.

You merely foster this illusion by extending away from you the hand which holds the glass, jiggling the glass slightly to mask any noise or jerky movements which you don’t want the audience to see. As you will be slowly extending the hand holding the glass away from you, the coin will very easily be able to walk up the glass.

When the coin comes to the top of the glass you can make it seem as if it leaped into your other hand, which is also outstretched having followed the glass making appropriate and mystical magic movements in order to make the coin move. You can be quite expansive here with your hand gestures as you want the audience to see that there’s no string attached to your hand, making the coin walk.

You can then hand the coin back, after discreetly removing the wax. Wasn’t that easy, not to mention fun? And think, that was only one of many free coin magic tricks which are available for you to find.
