The story behind the Providence performing arts center
Initially launched as a movie place of Loew's on the 6th of October 1928, the Providence performing arts center by two of the most renowned finest theater architects in the United States.
C.W. and George Rapp of Chicago were behind the creation and design of this movie house turned performing arts center. Then, the philosophy of Loew's was to sell out tickets to theater and not movies.
