Plastic Surgery The End Of All Your Problems
How many people start the process of having plastic surgery, thinking that at the end of the surgery all their problems will disappear? You might have an area of your body that you are unhappy with, and you might have been unhappy with for many years. People might have made rude comments and because of that you are so aware of people looking and staring at the ugly part of you. It could be only you who thinks it is ugly but it is enough to give you some serious doubt about your body.
Let us assume that you are going to have surgery on your face. You are not happy with the shape of your nose; the bags under your eyes; the wrinkles on your forehead; the double chin; well really there is nothing left about your face that you are happy with. Your surgeon has agreed to do the surgery, and has warned you that there will be no immediate results as you will have to wait for both the bruising and swelling to subside.
But you are a person who is impatient, and when you wake from the surgery, you demand a mirror to see what you look like. You are horrified because you look a lot worse after the surgery than you did before. You will need to learn patience because you are now facing a whole different set of problems that you will need to deal with.
Maybe your problem isn't your face but your weight. You have been diagnosed as being morbidly obese, and the only option left is surgery. You might be expecting a magical cure and seeing the weight drop off overnight. You might find that soon after the surgery, you are losing weight, but there are other problems you will face with the food you are now allowed to eat. If you had been eating large portions of food can you now learn to eat very small portions?
But there is a more basic issue that you will need to deal with. If you ate to solve your problems before; you ate when you were sad; you ate when you were happy; you ate when you were lonely; you ate when you were stressed. Now you are not able to eat at this time. You are no longer able to eat your problems, are you ready to face the problems that you had hidden away before?
Plastic surgery might be the end of one set of problems but unless you learn to deal with those problems you will be opening yourself up to a whole new set of problems after your surgery.
