Shanghai Airlines: bringing China to the world
The world has welcomed China when China opened its doors to the world. China has continued to bring its people to the four corners of the world through its international airlines. One of these is Shanghai Airlines. Shanghai Airlines, established and started operation in 1985, was started by the Shanghai municipal government as the first independently run local airlines in the country. At first, it was originally developed for domestic flights only, but it won the government's approval for international services in 1997. Now, Shanghai Airlines is the fifth largest airline of China.
Shanghai Airlines main bases are in Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. It has gone a long way since its establishment in 1985. Shanghai Airlines began issuing shares in Shanghai stock market in 2002, launched domestic freighter services in 2004, and partnered with Taiwan-based EVA Air for cargo services. Recently, it has launched code share flights with several other international airlines. Some of these code share agreements are with Air China, Air New Zealand, China United Airlines, Korean Air, Lufthansa, Sichuan Airlines, Thai Airways International, and United Airlines. It is possible that more code share flights will be on the way in the coming years. Also, it has been one of the proud members of the Star Alliance group. There's definitely no question that Shanghai Airlines will still fly a long way.
It will surely continue to provide excellent service to Shanghai, China, and the world. Shanghai Airlines continues to fly passengers and cargoes to and from different locations domestically and internationally. Shanghai Airlines has passenger flights to these destinations: China's major cities including Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Inner Mongolia, Japan, Korea, Maldives, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its cargo flights go to these areas: Hong Kong, Japan, India, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Germany, and United Sates.
Shanghai Airlines will definitely continue to meet the challenges ahead. With China's booming industries and international tourism, it is very likely that more improvement and development will be planned to be able to compete and maintain quality standards. Shanghai Airlines is on the way to the top and it will surely push ahead if it continues to provide excellent service.
Probably, in the next few years, the world will see how Shanghai Airlines continue to provide more flights to more destinations around the world. Shanghai Airlines will continue to bring China to the world and take the rest of the world to China.
