Don't Be Afraid Of Do It Yourself Wedding Poems
Your wedding is the time you express your undying love for your significant other and pledge that you will spend the rest of your life with that person. If that moment doesn't inspire you to write a poem then nothing will. Even people that have never written a poem in their life feel inspired to write wedding poems whether they are for their own wedding or the wedding of someone they know.
For example, I wrote a wedding poem for a friend of mine many years ago, and they were so happy with it that they had it put on their wedding candle. There is something about a wedding that just inspires people, and if you can get past the obvious wise guy comments, then you should be able to craft beautiful wedding poems.
First of all, when writing wedding poems, you should avoid using words like part and start as they only lead to rhyming words that you will regret later. Everyone has seen or heard a poem. If you have ever heard a song with lyrics then you have heard a poem. Everyone can sit down and rhyme two lines together to get their point across. This doesn't need to be William Shakespeare; it just needs to come from the heart. That is why wedding poems are always so beautiful whether the writer has any talent or not, they come straight from the heart and there is just no beating something that comes from the heart.
Pick A Good Topic
Any of the good wedding poems pick one theme or topic and go with it. Whether it is one specific event in the life of the bride and groom or a series of events that follows through one of their lives, it is usually best to have one theme to write on. If you are the bride or the groom, then a good theme to write about is the events that lead to this wedding or one memorable date or event on a date that will remain with you forever. Just make sure you pick a good topic and stay with it.
Weddings are one of those days that people will remember and if you want to honor the bride and groom with a poem then go for it. It will be something that everyone will remember for years to come and something that will touch the bride and groom.
