Zoloft and Panic Attack: The Connection

Panic attacks are very common, much more so than many people seem to realize. People who experience frequent panic attacks are considered as having panic disorder, and many of these people become especially frightened because they feel as though they are going crazy, even though of course they are not.

Panic disorder is considered as being an anxiety disorder, and these are the most common of all psychiatric disorders. A few of the other anxiety disorders are agoraphobia, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and post traumatic stress disorder.

Zoloft and panic attack can be used for both adults and children, although if your doctor does not think that Zoloft and panic attack is the solution for you then they will most likely prescribe you another medication.

Other Treatment

There are also other methods of treatment that you can use for your panic disorder other than medication. Cognitive behavior therapy for one, which is used to help change the way you think and therefore the way that you react to certain situations.

Cognitive behavior therapy has proven to be incredibly effective in such areas as anxiety, depression, panic, agoraphobia and other phobias, social phobia, bulimia, obsessive compulsive disorder and more.

If you ever think that you are experiencing panic attacks, you want to mention it to your doctor as soon as you can. Panic attacks will limit your quality of life and so you want to take care of the problem as quickly as you can.
