Behind the Scenes with the Stop Smoking Drug

With all of the media pointing fingers at cigarettes being the cause for so many health conditions for smokers and for those around them, it is no wonder that someone finally came around and invented a stop smoking drug. It seems to make perfect sense as this could be the way to get people to actually believe there is something out there to help them, but there is still a problem. The problem is that not everyone can get the stop smoking drug as it is not cheap and some insurance companies will not cover the cost of it.

This is something that surely confuses a lot of people as smoking has been proven to cause many health problems, which is costing medical insurance companies a lot of money to treat. So why would they not want to pay for the stop smoking drug in order to get someone to stop smoking since it would cost then a lot less then paying for the future medical expenses that will come with smoking? The stop smoking drug is approved by the FDA and it claims to actually work.

Reading between the Lines

We are thinking logically when we say that it would cost the medical insurance company less to treat someone who ends up with several illnesses from smoking than it would be to pay for the stop smoking drug. But then again, is there something that we are missing? Is there something that the medical insurance companies do not want us to know and that is why they will not pay for the stop smoking drug? And why is the stop smoking drug that is so wonderful and that is not approved by a lot of medical insurance companies not cheaper for people to buy?

Maybe there is something that is taking place behind the scenes that no one wants the public to know about. Maybe no one really wants everyone on the stop smoking drug because after all, if all the lung cancer caused by smoking suddenly stopped, would there be a lot of people in the medical profession seeing the money that they are used to? Would there be layoffs in the medical profession because of the stop smoking drug? Maybe and maybe not but it is truly a wonder that may never be solved as it seems to be obvious that everyone who smokes should be given the stop smoking drug.
